Hey Dave,

I think you might have the most hillarious comment-section of the whole website. People going crazy about your works and I'm just laughing my ass of because of their objections.

Well... that's real art, guys. Everytime you can't cope with a depiction or description, it is art punching you in the face. Fringe-Art I like to call it. It works since the dawn of mankind in the same ways. Depicting a naked body once caused the same shit-storm Dave is getting now.  It was called wrong and sick and all the same shit. But if it wouldn't have been made, we couldn't lay our eyes on works like the conception of aphrodity today. Fringe-Art constantly pokes our boundarys of mind and even if it startles our sense of moral and we know that we don't want to ever be comfortable around depictions like this, it does it's work. Because with fringe-art you can explore those boundarys and define yourself and the morals you'll live in.
Think of depictions of dismembering like of depictions of Monsters. While pictures of Monsters show the flesh of our nightmares, pictures of dismembered and abused bodys show the mind of our nightmares.
The fact that you care about these things enough to complain about it, already shows that this art is working. If it would be a depiction of a gruesome murder, without the sexual stimuli... well... ask yourself if you would be as uncomfortable with it as you are now.
We feel uncomfortable because we would like to either be freaked out because of the cruelty, or have a nice quality-time with ourselves. Here we have works that promise us the quality-time and then force-feed us the freak-out-factor.
Yes, it isn't a "nice" work of art. It is fringe-art and it is discomforting because of the combination of cruelty and beauty it shows.

I can't explain the fascination about the breaking-point where lust is transfered to disgust and if you don't like it, well, maybe you don't need or like to discover our confinements of morality. And that's ok. It is fine. But if you feel the need to write something about it... maybe don't just complain. Maybe ask yourself, where your eventhorizon was and why it was on that exact point and not a little while sooner.

With regards to the artist and all commenters,
Animus

I remember reading chugworth as a kid. It was crude, but sometimes you want to be entertained without pretenses of higher thought. You just want to stretch and relax and go with the flow. I found this sort of lazy satisfaction in Chugworth Academy. When Chugworth stopped being updated, I felt a bit disheartened, and then when you released that deal with the circus and clowns (I think that's what it was) I was unsatisfied with that sort of ending. I understood you had reasons for stopping production. Just recently I remembered the times I had with Chugworth, and was delighted to see it revived a bit, only to find out that it was only four strips dated in 2009. Thanks for that. For giving it another try. For not forsaking chugworth for good. Even if you had done so little, it is leaps and bounds beyond someone simply giving up. You may be on to greater things now, but I will forever remember Chugworth Academy. Thank you for giving me these heartwarming memories.

Your art is decent but your stories are stupid and disgusting. (And also, unfunny to read)

ooh... likes like we're "birds of the same feather" ???  hehehe.  Always enjoyed your Corps comics.  Maybe when I have more money, I can commission a custom set off you.  You are probably pretty busy anyway.

btw, F the haters and the prudes.  Sorry, not everyone has the same interests and dislikes like you.

Holy fuck everyone in the comments seem to lack any sort of balls if this stuff makes them queasy. Anyways you're artwork is amazing, especially the gore comics, I wish you had a site up where I could access all of it, seems not too many people appreciate the beauty you create though. Keep up the amazing work and I really hope I get to see some more girls get their heads ripped off ^-^ ~Cupcake
