Watchers

As much as I loathe to give Gawker hits of any kind, EA has won the annual Consumerist poll for "America's Worst Company", beating out Bank of America. [link]

The thing that interests me most about this is not the result, but rather the hysterical backlash from "adults" in the comments section toward the "kids" ruining their poll.
As well as the rather telling implication that they believe one section of the consumer base's rights to matter less than another's, the continually recycled justification of the banking crisis particularly irks me.
If you're going to declare EA's consumer rights record invalid because the consequences pale in comparison to foreclosures and global finanacial collapse, then why hold (or better yet vote in) the poll at all? If only companies guilty of causing such impact were valid candidates, then it might as well be "America's Worst Financial Services Company" and leave out all the entertainment, retail and telecoms companies entirely.

Let's be frank here. The results of this poll won't change anything. EA are not going to give two craps that they won. Bank of America would have cared even less. This harsh reality makes the extent to which some of these commenters are getting hot and bothered all the more mind boggling.

If I've send you a commission inquiry by email, how long should I expect to wait for a reply?

I wander. Searching for a rock to hide under,
a place to conceal the scars on my heart,
so i can bleed peacefully.

Seeking solace in a world I name my own,
where I find no feeling of shame nor rejection.
Finally a place for my soul to drown.

Just curious - were you the one who had US Angel Corps pulled down from the BWW?
